How We Collected the AI Room-Design Search Data

The study asks which practical needs recur in autocomplete language around AI interior design and room planning. Its unit is a unique suggested phrase, not a person. We collected no personal information or DecorAI customer data.

Twelve generic seeds covered AI design, room-design apps, redesigns, staging, makeovers, small rooms, and major room types. Each was requested alone and with a–z, producing 324 U.S.-English requests. Results were lowercased, trimmed, and deduplicated.

Finding 1: People Frame AI Interior Design as a Mobile Task

Mobile-app terms appeared in 346 phrases, or 14.6% of the corpus—the largest tracked category. This does not prove that 14.6% of all AI design searches are for apps; two seeds mentioned apps.
